Autism Evaluations
Supporting understanding, clarity, and next steps for your child
Next Level Psychological Services offers Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) evaluations for children and adolescents ages 18 months through 16 years old.
Our goal is to help families gain a deeper understanding of their child’s strengths, differences, and needs. Early and accurate identification can make a meaningful difference in helping children thrive at home, at school, and in their communities.
Why Consider an Autism Evaluation?
Every child develops in their own way — but sometimes, parents or caregivers notice differences in communication, play, social engagement, or flexibility.
A professional evaluation helps families:
Identify whether Autism may be contributing to developmental or behavioral challenges
Understand a child’s unique learning and emotional profile
Access appropriate therapies, school supports, and community resources
Guide intervention and treatment planning
Our Evaluation Process
Our approach is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based. Each evaluation is tailored to the child’s age and individual needs, and may include:
A detailed parent or caregiver interview to gather developmental history
Standardized assessment tools for social communication, cognitive, and adaptive skills
Play-based observations and structured interaction tasks
Teacher and caregiver questionnaires to understand functioning across settings
A comprehensive feedback session to discuss results and individualized recommendations
Families receive a written report summarizing findings, recommendations, and next steps for support at home and school.
Evaluation Structure
Intake Appointment
The intake is typically conducted with parents or caregivers and may include the child when clinically appropriate. Developmental history, presenting concerns, strengths, educational background, and current functioning are reviewed.
Assessment Appointment(s)
Assessment sessions are conducted in person and involve standardized testing, structured observations, and clinical interaction.
Children should arrive well-rested, fed, and on any prescribed medications.
Feedback Appointment and Written Report
A feedback session is held with parents or caregivers to review diagnostic impressions, conclusions, and individualized recommendations.
A written report is provided following feedback.
